We went out of town this weekend and boarded Coco for the first time. Had heard about separation anxiety but being the first time she was separated from us away from home for a significant amount of time it was the first time we really witnessed it. When at the boarding facility the tech took the leash and started leading her away the whimpering was awful, soon turned to pretty bad crying. Depression and poor eating all weekend. Coco, thankfully, took it just fine though.
