I decided that I hate money and love projects. So I'm building this. 2006 4x4 1500. Forged rods and pistons in a .030" over LQ4. ARP everything, 63LB deka injectors, Vortech v2 with 3.4" pulley, BTR cam, dual valve springs, titanium keepers/locks, 11/32 pushrods, C5R timing chain, Melling high volume oil pump, LS7 lifters, BTR shaft style rocker setup, 4L80e with transgo kit, FTI triple disc with lockup and 2800rpm stall, Detroit truetrac, Yukon axle shafts, TA diff cover/girdle, Caltracs, Kryptonite tierods, etc....

The rear end will explode. Been there done that. So much fun though.
 
I'll eventually swap a 9" under there and 4 link it. Hopefully this one holds awhile. The one I had in my nitrous 5.3 lasted ages with a 200 shot, caltracs, 30x14.50 radials, and 4:56 gears lol. I'm sure it was a unicorn.
When I blew one up it took my transmission with it. It really hurt my feelings. LOL

Yikes!!!! I hope that doesn't happen to me. It'd most likely get my transfer case. They're fairly easy to find. I do plan on keeping it fairly detuned until I swap the rear. I'm currently collecting fuel system parts. It'll be awhile until I put it all together. I'm not tearing it apart until I have every part needed here.

If I had to do it again I would put a 2500hd 8 lug rear end in front and back. I wasted so much money on that truck.
