The fastest American car with a flat-plane-crank

Never been a Ford fan until the newer Mustangs came out....I think they may well be the sexiest car I’ve ever seen...there is a titanium one at work with a very nice set of aftermarket wheels that is just flat out Beautiful!
Other than the new Vettes. Those are pure sex appeal on wheels!

Expensive and impractical as a daily driver.
Plus if you read the sticker on the window
for parts content and origin of engine & trans
not sure it really counts as "American car".
Believe me, hate to say it, but guess I'm old
fashioned. Had many Mustangs 1965-1967 vintage.
Also a 1968 Cougar XR7 plus in Ford parts & service
for about 25 years. New ones have the same name
but any similarity stops there. Like the original retros
from about 2005 they had strong resemblance to 1970
which I thought was prettiest of the 1st generation.

69 GT for the win but I bet this is a make you sh# t in your pants fast super handling ride

I haven't liked the looks of a vette since 1972. I know.... They have lot more horse power today but looks like something out of a si fi movie..
Gotta 76 I’m putting together, that is if I don’t decide I have enough projects...which I definitely do.

Yep, I had a 69 roadster for bout 20 yrs
Just got tired of working on it and that is the hobby. Original, numbers matching car. Sold it to a guy from Michigan pretty much sight unseen. Real head turner

This isn't my first Mustang but something like #17. Here was my first one that I bought for $400:

I raced the one in my avatar for 25 years (five rebuilt engines, three transmissions, one rear diff).

Anyone remember the Fox cars (four of them)?

I also raced a 1994 Mustang Cobra for 5 years (22 years ago):
