Agreed. He had a very good read on the crowd mentality of society and the ease of swerving it in different directions using fear. The Superdome debacle was a tailor-made example of stupidity, sheepdom, fascism and 1984 all rolled up into one. He may be glad he can survive in Alaska before all is said and done.
