We are open for business and our intention is to stay open. With this in mind, we ask that our customers take common sense precautions while in our store. Please try to stay 6 feet apart when possible and respect the space of other customers and our staff. We are happy to assist you, however, please don't bring other folks or children into the store if you are the only one shopping. We have plenty of room and seating on our front porch for folks to wait while you shop.

We are also offering curb service for our customers who do not wish to enter the store. Simply call ahead and we will bring your items directly to your vehicle when you arrive.

The store and range are open normal hours, Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 6:00, and the range is also open from 1:00 to 6:00 on Sunday. The range entrance is on the east side of the building nearest the highway.

If you are looking for a specific firearm or accessory, please check our website at appalachiangun.com. Please note that an item being listed as "in the warehouse" does not mean it is in the store, however, if the firearm or other item appears on our website it is available for purchase. You can order and pay for a firearm from our online store and pick it up here with no transfer fee.

Thank you for your continued loyalty and cooperation.

I will not be back so you will not have to worry about my 6 feet. Not happy with a pistol purchase and was basically told Sorry, you're stuck with it or if you trade it in we will not give you a decent trade price.
Drove to Gainesville an purchased 2 firearms.

More info on the “not happy with purchase “ part possibly?

I was in their store once and tried to make a trade and was floored at the amount they offered for my “like new” piece. I realize they have to make money and I don’t have issues with that but, to offer less than 25% of new price on a trade in ! This wasn’t on something they would have to set on either. It was on a S&W revolver. I still check them on things but won’t try to trade again.

To be fair, any time I traded in a pistol a dealer, I was made a similar offer, and this goes back 20+ years... That's why I started coming here. I wouldn't get what I paid out of the gun, but I would get a lot closer than what a dealer offered me.

It was actually Paula at Dead Center in Buford, who told me that if I wanted more out of my trade in, to try this place.

Agreed... just interested in the not happy with purchase part.
It’s odd... you know what you’re buying and you know the purchase price before you pay. What could be the issue...just saying. Once the 4473 is complete and you pay- it’s yours.

Yeah, due to the laws around guns, buying one isn't the same as buying a coffee machine from Target where you can just return it in 30 days if you don't like it... lol

I purchased a Chiappa.22 pistol on Monday, get home and start shooting and is hitting really low. I read manual and learn front sight has to be filed (it is written in the manual) to make adjustment and then re blued. I did not know that or would not have purchased. I go back Saturday to see if they would file and re blue. I was told that was not true and if I wanted it filed I should take to a gunsmith. I asked about trading and was told about my options. It is my fault for purchasing and not knowing about having to file the site. That's on me.
Them not trying to be helpful is on them. I am old school and still believe in customer service although it rarely happens anymore.
