Svt40 wont fully eject

What does the brass look like when when you get it out? Could be the surplus brass being old and having to build up on it. Also how long have you had the rifle and how many times have you shot it? It could be some kind crud or cosmoline build up or something in the chamber that could be causing the issue. I tend to think it's some kind of dragging in the chamber. I asked the question of how long have you had it because if it came in a bag with cosmoline that could cause a sticky chamber. So if there's a dark appearance in the chamber then I definitely think of Polish would be in order and the deep clean beforehand.

They are one of the easier ones to diagnose. Possible causes:
1. chamber rough/dirty
2. gas system: dirty, corroded, out of adjustment
3. ammo casing issues
4. mag lips or follower/spring out of spec
5. extractor or ejector worn

Try to clean the gun first THEN start adjusting the gas port, lots of corrosive ammo used and a lot of times that gas port is plugged up, these are relatively fragile so dont go cranking the gas setting up first thing
