thats interesting.
there are germplasm storage facilities at most all Agriculture colleges.when i worked at the Ga. Expermint station back in the early 80's while in college,they had one at the Griffin station.not that large but still they had a lot of seed stored there.

I think they can only be stored for a few years,a few being like 5 at the most, but Im not 100%
on that.
I believe that the best way is cold,dry,and dark.

Maybe a vacuum seal might extend it too.
