I had seen this trunk in the Free section of the forum,I collect trunks (I have about..10) and refinish them (haven't redone the insides yet,and haven't secured carring straps

Nice work and I do the same type of work. I took an 1800's one and turned it into my shadow box when I retired from the Navy. when I wheeled it in on a cart there were several Chiefs, Senior Chiefs and Master Chiefs drooling over it. There are several places to buy everything you need to refinish them. There are even a couple of books on restoring steamer trunks.
