Got a couple of guys that ran into problems with my in home network connecting with my gate. Seems they cant find anyone who can splice fiber that knows what the hell they are doing. anyone know where I might find help?

Splicing fiber isn't like splicing copper. It's a complex job best left to someone who actually knows what they're doing. And that work doesn't come cheap!!
My brother in law does it for AT&T, but I doubt he has the equipment to do it on his own. But I will ask him, however it could be a few days. If you don't hear back from me it means he can't. We both live just south of Rome.
Ditto what chopper duke said. He beat me to it. It's a specialized skill that requires the right tools.
I can do it if you can provide the fusion splicer. Sadly, I don't own one of my own.
