I am amazed when I travel to other parts of the US that no one eats or often has ever heard of banana sandwiches or pineapple sandwiches.

mayonnaise and banana on bread or pineapple and mayonnaise on bread.


i grew up eating both as well as tomato sandwiches , ripe tomato, mayonnaise, salt, pepper on bread.


this was breakfast today.

None of those are something I ever had a taste for, but my grandparents would eat them occasionally.

I love a good tomato sandwich. Never cared much for banana sandwiches. My parents loved them but they would eat them with peanut butter and banana instead of mayo. Honestly never heard of a Pineapple sandwich.

Mom's favorite in hot weather, pineapple sandwiches. I haven't eaten one in many years but I remember I liked them.
