The next time you're running out to the local big box store to get the safe that's on sale cause you can't pass up that deal.....

Is it really that good of a deal ? These were posted on a safe and vault website I'm a member of.

I'd have to go back and look , it may have been a Cannon. How long has Cannon been doing the Chinese import thing ? At one time they were American made but that's been a while.
 
I have a few pics worse than that. No safe is fire proof for long.
Right. I understand some safes are better than others but I also understand physics and unless a safe has some sort of sprinkler system/cooling method or walls a couple feet thick, its not gonna last forever in a fire. Thats what insurance is for
 
Oh yeah, pro grade is waaaay better than what most folks have in their homes but who has that kinda coin for that. Small safes are easier and cheaper in heavy duty grade but the big boys are big bucks.
