I'm looking at a W.H. Manton side lever shotgun for $200. Seller says it is a solid piece and I'd like to run some black powder shells thru it. He is going to confirm chamber length for me to see if it's 2-5/8" or 2-3/4".
So, my concern is, would it be worth having the chambers lengthened to accept 2-3/4" shells and are there any other questions I should be sure to ask? It is in another state and not available for hands on inspection.
Thanks,
musket
