Shocking discovery

So I replaced the shocks on my Yukon today. Anyone know whats up with the size of the replacement shocks vs the OEM shocks? The front shocks were close in diameter but the rear (pictured) were much smaller diameter than the old OEM shocks. It rides great - just thought it was kind of weird.

Maybe. Monroe only offered this shock when I selected my Yukon.
But I bet thats it.
