When I have tried crayon, it heats up and melts out. There are better options out there.

I did my G26 slide with Crayola's "seafoam green" once because I thought it was close to zombie green- and it was inside. Out in the sun it just looked like corrosion green. I'm not sure that I've got it all out yet. I did an AR lower in bronze Testors model paint and it looks great.

I like the blue- adds a little color. I'm a fan of color filling the recesses so long as it can be removed- like model paint or crayon.

I've been wanting to do this with my Shield. Haven't decided on a color, but I'm leaning towards zombie green.

I color filled mine too! The whole slide.... In Cerakote

For me it was the frame.

I'm personally not a fan of color fill but if you like it that's all that matters.
