Shed Hunting

Does anyone in this group shed hunt? If so when do you usually start walking? When do they start dropping. Any tips and tricks

i look for them all year long...arrowheads too.. (and now certain mushrooms) My wife can't comprehend my enthusiasm at finding either..I have found more sheds in open food plots than anywhere else.

Usually start dropping Mid - Late Feb through April. Check trails between bedding and feeding areas. if youre scouting for turkeys or next season hunting locations you'll probably stumble across some.

no. I live south of the ....Atlanta. Have some property and also walk clayton county water property.

no not where i go. Im with a person that works there. Im sure there are lots of wmas and usfs land up that way to check out.

I’ve checked antler traps with a friend but I never saw him have much luck with them. The idea makes sense though.

2 of the bucks here at the house have dropped one side both were the right side.
