It looks a lot like a Sig P226 to me but, yes they are very sexy. It's the 229/M11A1 for me though.

In the last part of the movie ( Thief ) James Cann is toting a 1911 Long Slide. That gun changed my back in the day. Also the Colt Python were the two most beautiful guns I had ever seen. I remember the Python I. The cover of Guns and Ammo I believe was the magazine. Man two memorable handguns.
