Storms and 5 footers put a hitch in the fishing plans. I am going to try for some inshore species over the next few days. Anyone else have any luck?

Tuna time!
Those are nice tuna. Was that off of Gulf Shores? I fish Ga coast alot but I'm looking to take my 20' Grady White to the gulf somtime this summer and I haven't decided where to go.
We bagged 18 blackfin about 80 NM south of Gulf Shores, but we have a great all around fishery down there with a huge variety of species. Snapper season is short this year but the nearshore rigs 15-30Nm are covered with them.
I won't be doing any 80 mile trips in my boat but can certainly handle 15-30. Time to start looking for vacation days. Seems like snapper are going to be hard to come by with all the limits that have been set.
The nice thing about LA is the gas and oil rigs are perfect habitat for snapper.
This where we stay. It is 2 miles from the outside and is a great place to keep a boat. I catch trout and bait right off the dock.

Thanks for that post. That place looks great and it is a very reasonable price.
