Saltwater bragging board

I fish...with a gun. Went to the FL keys a couple weeks back. Terrible weather so we couldn't get offshore much and had to stick to the shallow waters. Got a couple nice grouper and messed with a jewfish.

Here's a few pics from 2 weeks ago bonefishing in Glenton Sound at Long Island, Bahamas. 16 bones in 3 hours. Didn't catch any real big ones, all were 1-3 pound range but on this day I was happy to have quantity over quality.061413 bone.jpg

I saw a few of these toothy guys snorkeling. This was the smallest one and only time I had my POS underwater camera with me061713.jpg
The out islands of the Bahamas are tough to beat if you want to get away from the touristy crowds of Florida or Nassau. Very friendly locals, miles of gorgeous deserted beaches, great fishing and cheap rum what more could you ask for.

Beach fishing in Boca Grande, FL last week.

34 in Snook, 34.5 in Snook, and baby tarpon.

I had 7 fish break 50lbs breaded line. One fish I hooked peeled 300 yards of line in 15 secs and then broke off. Im going back in Sept to do it all again with better equipment. :hat:

You went all the way to The Bahamas to handle bones?

JK nice fish.

Fishing in Boca Grande, Fl again this week. Man I love this place!

24" Snook
28" Snook
32" Snook
54" Tarpon

I hooked into what I believe were either 4 bigs sharks or goliath grouper. Each time it ran 300-400 yards and broke 100lbs braided line. Sure would've like to have seen what was on the other end.
