Rix storm s3

I’m really considering ordering a storm s3 but would love to see one in person or here from people that have used them. I’d hate to spend the money on one and not like it. Does anyone have any first hand experience with them. Pics or videos taken with them.

Open to other thermals in the same price range if anyone has any recommendations

Have you bought one yet? I bought the LEAP L3 since it was in the similar price range. The biggest selling point for me was the ability to eventually add a laser range finder as well as the optical magnification. The base magnification is a little higher on the s3 than the L3 but less magnification is gonna make scanning a little better. I talked with Kurt from midwest thermal optics for about a hour on the phone before I made my decision on which one to get. I originally wanted to go with the s3 because it was a little cheaper but spent a little more and got a better optic.
