I just had to look up what a "dust cover" is in relation to a 1911. I had never heard that phrase used for anything besides an M16.

What is it?

It's the part of the frame that sticks out in front of the trigger guard. In the case of this RIA, the whole part that has the Picatinny rail and all that.

Was looking at some of the other pistols on the RIA development site.

Surprised to see what looks like rebadged Tanfoglio/Witness pistols, one generation prior to what EAA currently imports. Are these in circulation in the U.S.? My favorite out of the CZ-lineage pistols.
