Replace fron sight post?

Any of you guys ever change out the front sight post on your AR to the "crosshair" or colored posts? I have been looking at the crosshair version like the one below, I think I would like this.

I have swapped out several front sight posts, however it has only to put on a match front site or a trijicon front site post. The cross hair front site always seemed too much like a gimmick and I have never talked with anyone who thought they have any advantage.

I'd much rather just use a scope than go that route. Then again, my vision is kinda crappy so I can't see irons all that great.

Like them a lot. The post is not bigger then a standard post and in low light it makes site acquisition much easier. Rear site can be a bit of a pain to install if you don't know what you are doing though.

midway.usa has a lot of tritium front sight posts. For awhile I was interested in one of these sets:

But I never bit the bullet... still running stock sight posts.

now i question where I even got knights armament from....just went to thier site.....ive never been there! maybe its my right brain that did it without left brain knowing
