Redneck camping stove.

It's just a simple alcohol burner stove though, pretty easy to make, fairly useful, runs just fine off 91% alcohol from wally world which USED to be dirt cheap but got kinda pricey with all the Covid nonsense. Seems to be stabilizing in terms of supply and cost over the last couple months though. Fun project, good one to do with kids to teach them a bit about simple construction.

In scouts we made what iirc was called a hobo stove.
Large tin can, use can opener to put vent holes along
side of open bottom and side of closed top. Then ice pick
a few holes in top for grease to drip into can feeding fire
inside made with leaves, pine straw, twigs, paper scraps.
