Anyone familiar with Rade Hawkins kinves? I have one but cant id the steel.

Holy Cow. Have not heard that name in years. Had one back in the late 80's. Very well made knife. Stag handle and about a 7" blade. I was young, stupid and broke the tip.

Rade used a lot of D2 early on, but also used several different stainless steels as well. Rade made some fine knives. Knew him for several years. His wife is still doing shows - kids and friends run it mostly. Might try contacting them and see if they know for sure. They'll need a pic or two as I don't remember him stamping any kind of model number on his blades.
Thanks guys. I knew Rade and his family from the Flint R club. Many years ago.
