Can you use muzzle-loading primers as shot-shell primers? i bought the wrong ones and i'm trying to figure out if you can. some are saying yes others are saying no, can somebody please shed some light on this for me?

Im not sure. Those could be she same primers just labeled differently to sell to the muzzleloader crowd, or they could be a completely different primer that could be much hotter. I personally would just buy standard shotshell primers to be on the safe side, or you could always call winchester and see what they recommend.
 
Muzzleloading 209 primers have less "oomph" than standard shotshell primers. While they might work, depending on the powder you are loading, the chance of a misfire will increase. Smokeless powder is a bit more resistant to ignition than black powder and black powder-like imitation formulas.

Best to stick with standard 209 primers for a shotshell load.
