Possibly dumb questions from a non-hunter about Central GA Deer

What different kinds of deer are found in central Georgia?

I ask, because there was a black faced deer in a lot, up the road from me. Had dark ears, too, but the body was 'deer colored'. She was in a small group, watching me drive by....

Not a dumb question. They are rare, but known as melanistic.
