With any of the Plated Buckshot, I can't help but think you'd see at least SOME
Improvement in Pattern tightness with a greater degree of Choke...
Don't know if it would be enough to be worthwhile, but as we've got a 20 Gauge with RemChokes here, I may do some patterning if I can find some appropriate Buckshot somewhere...
 
When running non-FFC buck, I tend to go with a modified or improved-modified (yes, that is a thing) choke. It has to be really bad for me to not be running FFC though.

I've got a 23" Modified Choke Remington 1100 12 Gauge Barrel that stacks the FFC Pellets almost on top of each other out to 25 yards--I wouldn't wanna' be on the receiving end o' THAT "Swarm"! FWIW, Remington's fixed Modified Chokes are usually about .018" constriction, a little less than lots of Modified Chokes in 12 Gauge these days, but they usually pattern "Right" for a Modified...
