Picatinny Rail

So I bought a new Holographic optic for my AR and it doesn't fit the rails. The mount seems to be too small but it fits fine on another gun's rails. That gun already has an optic. so what I am asking for help with is there a quality adapter/reducer for my AR's rails? I would prefer a see through riser since I do have backup Iron sights.
