Ordering an Aug tomorrow

I did a quick search and found factory 30s for $28 https://centerfiresystems.com/product/factory-steyr-aug-3-rd-5.56x45-magazine
42's are $35 https://suarezinternational.com/magazine-steyr-aug-42rd-black/
I've seen them cheaper in the past also. Just mentioning incase you thought they were a lot higher than that...bc I know for awhile they WERE real pricey.
I've had 2 AUGs, they're super cool. I love them but I have gotten completely out of the 5.56 game...but man, I love the way they look!
Couple of things: I think Magpul makes standard AUG mags now though I haven’t seen any in the wild and don’t know the price.
The standard (non-NATO) has a bolt release on the stock close to the magwell. The nato stock (as of 2014) lacked this feature; you had to use the charging handle.
They have a “battle trigger” which is very heavy if you’re accustomed to AR/AK trigger pulls. Back in 2014 the options for upgrading were limited.
The piston on the right hand side spits hot gas. Don’t let your support hand get too close - it hurts!
Those are the main drawbacks.
A very reliable weapon (see the battlefield Vegas experience with it) and it is very simple to assemble / disassemble and clean. I wish there was a plethora of barrels (length and caliber) since they change so quick. A 300 blackout would’ve been awesome.
I sold mine but regret it every now and then.

Would have liked to have an AUG NATO. Missed an opportunity by minutes a few years ago. Happily settled for a Tavor X95.

Better price than the factory ones but a lot more expensive than the pile I already own!

HAHA, right?!?! I sold all my Ar's/mags/ammo and went to The Dark Side! I'm all-in on Ak's now...
