Does the tube separate from the serialized base? So basically the tube would be a separate piece laying in the table.

No. The tube has the serial on it . Granted the top second comes off but the mass of it is the lower portion and that is where it’s at
Thanks, sending mine back to rugged for repair.
9mm endcap strike, tube didn’t seem loose at range but tightening on a left hand thread piston was fairly annoying. Piston-barrel connection was a little loose after shooting a mag.
Mine walks on everything I have put it on. Going to try teflon tape
