The bridge, because of its ranking as a terrorist target is under 24/7/365 camera protection (hundreds of them).
Constant monitoring, a sign every 10 feet warning you that you are being watched.
And two groups of yo-yo's climbed both of the towers, disabled the lights, took the flags down, BLEACHED both old glory's and raised them back up, white.
Took some planning and coordination, and climbing skills.
I wish they had not defaced the flags.

I'm sure everybody feels safe now with all of those cameras...
