No Scammers

How about letting the people susceptible to getting scammed burn and learn. It really is a self correcting problem for those with a moderate amount of intelligence.

That way the large majority of members don’t have to wear the protective scammer diapers because a few members need that kind of protection.

99% of the scam ads are easy to spot. Price too good to be true, pictures from GB, uses email instead of pm, the list goes on. A little research on GB or similar sights and picture search for example. It really isn't hard to spot a scam.
say something in the ad and see what it getz you scammer or not
 
Since the WTB section is where they do a lot of targeting, you could put a big bold user agreement for people to click on before placing a WTB add that warns them of common scam tactics.

Also could do a sting operation, create a few WTB ads that would attract scammers and use it to identify them.
