Night Hog Rifle

for those of you that have done it, which rifle would you choose for a thermal setup?
for shooting hogs at night.

Personally I have a bolt action 22 mag for hogs and coyotes. If I were to buy something again for hogs and coyotes it would probably be a semi auto. However I don't have have a thermal on mine, just a regular scope and and light. We also utilize the feeder lights..

I have used 6.5 Grendel, 7.62x39, or 223 for thermal rigs. If you're hunting sounders, then I wouldn't use something with too much recoil, and ammo availability would be my second consideration.

my latest is a 6mm ARC! but i have killed a bunch with a 17wsm! (head shot only)

For pigs, I’d opt for a 300blk. Predators, a 5.56.

I started wit r 25 308 with n.v. Scope now I have r 15 set up I just double shoot some of the bigger ones.i have no I’ll feelings if they run off and die either.
