Wow that's a deal. I will have to take a look at those. My safe is a little space challenged at the time being.
I took a look and mine is more like the 1,999.00 jobs. It has the same ratings, same locking design and and bigger than theirs. However it would make a nice ammo and equipment unit.
I bought 2 for ammo storage. They are decent.
They are a glorified file cabinet and will keep the kids out. A battery powered Metabo can cut the sheetmetal side out in a minute or two.
450lbs is pretty nice filing cabinet. Let's face it. If someone wants your contents in your safe. They are going to get it no matter who maker is
Must be some pretty stout sheet metal to withstand 1400° for 45 minutes.
Agreed. What are they 16 or 18 , or god forbid 20 gauge sheet metal layered with fire padding between the layers? I looked at one one day and could push the door causing the metal to flex/pop/indent with 4 extended fingers aka finger punch push. I could probably cut it open with a dermal tool. I do agree it might be a good way to store ammo and accessories.
