need baseball rules help

It sounds correct if I'm understanding the situation correctly. Its a force out at second for the runner going to second and the runner going to third. If he had tagged the runner going to second first then there is no force BUT it sounds like he tagged the runner that should be at 3rd first then stepped on the bag before the runner advancing from first made to the bag.

Bingo.

Sounds like the runner from 2nd to 3rd forced himself out by willingly going back (and being stupid) which would just require a base tag with ball in hand. The batter (1st base runner) needs to be tagged, as he is not being forced out and had the option of going back to 1st.

the batter stayed on first. it was bases loaded already

Been out for a while, but here's my take on it,...............if the runner from second had been forced at third the run would not have counted, but since he was tagged at 2nd, the runner from third must have scored before the tag out at second, he doesn't have to be tagged either, only the base has to be touched if you are going back to a base in a force out situation, by the fielder tagging the base at second he, forced the runner out from first and also the one that should have been going to third.

7.03

(a) Two runners may not occupy a base, but if, while the ball is alive, two runners are touching a base, the following runner shall be out when tagged and the preceding runner is entitled to the base, unless Rule 7.03(b) applies.

(b) If a runner is forced to advance by reason of the batter becoming a runner and two runners are touching a base to which the following runner is forced, the following runner is entitled to the base and the preceding runner shall be out when tagged or when a fielder possesses the ball and touches the base to which such preceding runner is forced.
