Need answer to shipping question

Looked on both FedEx and UPS's websites and seen nothing about shipping firearms. If someone wanted to ship, say a AK47 from Ga. to Calf., is that legal? I was in the understanding that you only had to use a FFL if it was full auto.

You will need to use an FFL for an out of state transfer.

AK 47s are illegal for civilian ownership in California. FFL is your best bet besides it would be cheeper and he could answer some of the legal questions associated with shipping to that state.

Also, I would not bother shipping ANY guns MAINLY rifles such as the AK-47 to california. It is a PITA.

You will need to ship it to an FFL not an Individual. You may send it either ups, fedex, or us mail if it is a rifle. usps don't do pistols. Make sure the FFL you plan to ship to will accept shipments from non FFL's.
