Need a suggestion for…..

…..A co-packer. A friend of a friend is looking to scale his small-time foods business. Sausage and pimento cheese. He’s located in NE georgia. The facility doesn’t need to be in the area necessarily, but it would help. It does need to be in Georgia. Anyone have experience or suggestions?

Well, in Athens, there are plenty of fudge packers, but not sure how marketable they are.

I know the owners of Mama's Boy, and they sell their "famous" raspberry jelly that they buy in bulk, repackage, mark up, and sell the hell out of - no secret, no deception - just all the smart UGA folks rave over it.

Also, Striplings has someone doing a lot of private label packing.

BTW, if he is planning selling sausage off premises, he is in for a ride - he has to meet FDA criteria. Very expensive proposition.
