Navy Carrier vs Kayak

Just wanted you all to see how big a carrier really is. Below the waterline is another 50 feet. That kayak is about 10 feet. Each anchor weighs 66,140 pounds.

i lived on a carrier in the early 80's if i remember correctly it was 300 yards long 5000 sailors onboard when we were underway

I saw the Enterprise in the Hong Kong harbor and then again in Subic Bay..That flat top is massive..I read somewhere years ago, under full speed if it was taken out of gear, it would take 5 miles to stop forward motion...
