My new brass cannon

Ive got the itch to build a bigger one
Problem is.. finding a piece of brass big enough to turn a bigger one out of.
I’ve got a 3’ piece of high pressure steel pipe with hardened center 2” thick with diameter of approximately 3” that i eventually intend to make one out of. Super heavy
That would make a nice one.

That link shows the largest diameter you can get over a foot long is 3" diameter.
A six-foot piece of that would set you back $1000.
A yard-long barrel from that 3" brass would be $560.

I wouldn't mind having a 75% scale field canon whose barrel was made out of aluminum or some zinc alloy like they make cheap Saturday night special pistol frames out of.
It may not be as strong as steel, but it would be strong enough to fire either blank charges or a lightweight projectile.
Or a sub-caliber heavy steel or lead projectile inside a lightweight wood plastic or foam sabot.
