Mounting sight on WASR AK?

Just purchased an ak 47 from a fellow member. I am new to the ak world but would like to mount a red dot on it. What is the best way to do this? Should I get a side mount or mount it on a quad rail? Looking for the best but cheapest option thanks guys.

I've been down this road... quad rail in the front (okay for flashlight but didn't do anything for red dot). I tried the dust cover mount... awful. Unless you don't care about the red dot being meaningful I agree... best way to go is to use the side mount as intended by the designers OR, do what I did and just stay with the iron sights.
