It sucks but I could see how it could happen…however, I’d at least try to make it right by apologizing, buying the part and having it shipped to you.
I’ve sold two firearms that “had issues” but I did it with full disclosure to the buyer. I couldn’t sell a broken or incomplete gun without full disclosure unless I didn’t know about it. I think I’ve only sold one firearm I took on trade and never fired myself.
