Where are you hunting in Meriwether? Avatar is just one of many that didn't make it out alive from there.
I'm a couple miles West of downtown Greenville
We have been hunting on right outside of Woodbury on family property since the mid 90's. I've seen a lot of really nice deer taken to the Venison Shop processer over the years. Didn't get much time last year to hunt and didn't get anything. I had a shot on a 50# doe and just watched it. Not worth the effort for a Kroger sack of meat.
Any processors you'd recommend in that area? Depending on how many I take in a year, I get some processed and quarter others on my own. Great looking 'buck in the trunk' by the way.
Venison shop on corner of Whitehouse pakkway and 109 in Woodbury does great work. Randy has cookout opening day and only serves what he processes. Price is right...free.
