Saw one slinking across Highway 52 at dusk 2 or 3 weeks ago with just a little daylight remaining, just east of Chatsworth as you start climbing the mountain.
A couple of years ago were were starting to ascend Fort Mountain on 52 from the Ellijay side when one crossed the road very close in front of us. When it got to the other side and started up the hill, I saw a bear about 30 yards away from it, also watching it closely. For a couple of seconds, I thought the bear would go after it, but it just stood there and watched it.
That would have been a good picture! But it all happened way too fast.
I was bowhunting the creek here in Alpharetta. The biggest bobcat ive ever seen walks calmy? directly under me.
I was shocked really. He was very close. Looked waist high lol. I rember the distinct eye looking markings on the back of the ears. Beautiful well fed city cat. I did not own an iphone at the time , but it was probably 8years ago. Wish I had the video
Saw my first bobcat in the wild a few winters ago while deer hunting in Hurtsboro, AL.
Strolled past my stand within about 30 yards in open field. Was cool to watch. He was in no hurry.
