The spark that started the war was the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand and his wife. I have yet to see a history book or website that disputes that. The causes behind it, underlying agendas, etc are a different story in fact there are still disputes about it.

No one should doubt that we live in a fragile world one day the world is together, one day it might not be. Just be prepared.
