Marlin 336 brought back to life (pic heavy)

I never thought of cerakoting scopes, that opens up a lot of possibilities...

The first couple that I did, I really doubted if it was a good idea. The masking is the crucial part. Use an abrasive pad to rough up the surface, rather than running them through the blast cabinet. I usually cure them the same as I do polymer, at a lower temp, and they've all turned out fine. I really didn't want to have to replace this Zeiss.

Beautiful. When you carved out the lines, how did you keep them straight?

One of the checkering tools is a line spacer. It indexes off of the master lines. It has one edge that follows in the channel of the master line, and a cutter that runs along beside it cutting a new line. If the master lines are crooked, so will be the following lines. The fore end was a little more difficult to keep straight, because the lines extend across a radiused surface. You have to continually check your progress to make sure they don't wander off, like some of mine did. I was able to correct it, but if you look closely, you can still see it.
