Ok so I have decided I *need* a 5 ton. That means the deuce is for sale. It runs great.
It is titled as a 1994 model the axles have 97 date codes on them so it is really a 97 model
*It has 9800+ original miles.(will increase because I drive it)
*Tires are 95%
*Allison Transmission shifts great
*Air shift front axle works great.(engages the front axle)
*Has troop seats
*Has cargo cover
*Brakes work great
The bad:
*The CTIS(Central Tire Inflation System) does not work. This is VERY typical of these trucks. It causes 4 of the tires to leak down over the period of a week. I have however made an air hose with a glad hand coupler that you can hook to the trucks air system and use the trucks air system to pump them up. Very easy to do.
*The front steering knuckle boots need to be replaced if you plan on going in to mud or deep water. They cost about $60 for the pair.
*There is some surface rust here and there(very little and typical of these trucks) and the paint is chipping off in a few places.(Also very typical of these trucks, the military only pressure washes these trucks before they repaint them)
Here are some of the upgrades from the A2 models
- Automatic transmission
- Air power-assisted steering
- Central inflation system (not working on this truck)
- Three-point seat belt safety system
- 3116 turbo charged Caterpillar, 170-horsepower engine
- AT1545P automatic 4 speed transmission
-2 speed transfer case Rockwell T-136
- Electric Wipers with windshield washer
- In cab coolant heater works better than older style
- Muffler and insulated cab and hood
- extra marker lights with backup lights
- smaller steering wheel for more cab room.
- upgraded drivers seat
- super single tires and wheels.
Price is $9000. Pretty firm on that price but would be willing to take guns and/or gold as partial trades.
Yes the ODT sticker on the back will be thrown in for FREE!!!
