Looking to have barrel threads repaired near Cobb or Paulding

Depending on how “jacked” they are, the end of the barrel may need chopped off and new threads cut. You’re only looking at losing about .650” of barrel length, at the most.

The good thing is that, if that needs done, the new threads will be better than the factory threads, and we can even time it for your muzzle device so you don’t need shims.

However, if the threads were messed up from the factory, I would send it back and have Ruger un-FUBAR it. In order to chase, or recut, the threads, I would possibly have to remove the barrel the rifle, then reinstall when I was. This disassembly/reassembly of the rifle would be an added charge.

Best thing to do is bring it by the shop and let me see it. I won’t charge anything to go over your options with you, once I can see what we’re dealing with.
