Those are actually great shooters very under rated have owned a couple can't beat them out of the box.

Dadgummit I just seated a chip McCormick mag.... Baseplate popped off... Cartridges everywhere and I can't find the baseplate!

Yup... Time for a mag upgrade.... I have used that mag dozens of times in my other 1911 (mmm, love saying that). Can you imagine if that had happened at the range?

I was going to keep the hardballer a 45 and wanted a permanent host for the conversion but if this thing shoots half as good as it feels then I think the Hardballer will wear the TacSol and the AC may nearly become my EDC

Ok quick update... Took the AC out for a range date and put several mags through her to test her out.

Feed and fires exceptionally well out of the box with both hardball and JHP. Very accurate and very manageable recoil. The only concern I have at all is that the recoil spring might be just a tad light as evidenced by the fact the it ejects spent shells VERY energetically. Almost every shot fired was followed by the shell hitting the plexiglass and nailing me in the head... Now I have to work on my hand flinch and an impulse to duck.

I had one and it was as smooth and well finished as guns costing twice the price...
