I had one on my house like this years ago. He was in an area on the house that was shaded by some trees. They are beneficial at eating insects but I ran him off. Never saw him again.

At first my wife and I thought this was a leaf stuck to the siding on our house, but after a closer look we saw it’s a bat roosting. Pretty cool, I have never seen one roosting in the open like this.
