Korean War Weapon Identification Please Help

I’m trying to identify the rifle my grandfather carried in Korea. All I have is this one photo if anyone has any knowledge of the the rifle I’d appreciate it very much. He was Army if that helps at all.

Unlikely "in theater." And besides, why make a useless rifle even more useless by restricting your ammo supply?
