Just a question, I'm really looking for one of these, but why are the prices so high on these? Like not trying to question your pricing just trying to figure out why the prices are all over the board? If you can just order one from marlin am I missing something???

Supply and demand.

Remington-Marlin only made the Dark series for a short while before the bankruptcy stopped production, and the new Ruger-Marlins haven't reintroduced them yet, if they ever will.

So who is currently producing the current 1895 dark seris for marlin?

Ruger is making the Dark model again but it’s the tactical version and looks nothing like the original Dark. The original in my opinion is still the gold cup standard and you’ll probably never see them made like the originals ever again. That’s why they’re so coveted. GLWS.
